PATNA: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed chargesheet against the 'Gazwa-e-Hind' case accused Marghoob Ahmad Danish for allegedly radicalising impressionable youths through social media platforms and instigating them for carrying out violent terrorist acts. Danish is the resident of Muneer Colony under Phulwarisharif police station area in
Patna district.
The chargesheet was filed in a special court in Patna. The case was initially registered with Phulwarisharif police station on July 14 last year and then re-registered by the NIA on July 22. The official press release issued by the NIA on Friday read, "Investigations have revealed that accused Marghoob Ahmad Danish was the admin of WhatsApp group 'Ghazwa-e-Hind' created by a Pakistani national Zain, and had added many persons from India as well as other countries, including Pakistan and Yemen, with an intention to radicalise them and constitute them into sleeper cells for carrying out terrorists activities."
It further stated that the accused Danish had created the said 'Gazwa-e-Hind' group on different social media platforms like WhataApp, Telegram and BiP Messenger. He had also created another WhatsApp group 'BDGhazwa-e-HindBD' and had added Bangladesh nationals to it.
