Neighbour hits woman who refused to get on his bike with a helmet, held

Gurgaon: A man allegedly hit his neighbour on her head with a helmet on Thursday night after she refused a ride on his bike. Cops obtained the CCTV footage of the attack and arrested the suspect on Friday.
The victim, a resident of the Madanpuri, told police that she was returning home from work when her neighbour approached her. “I was paying the autorickshaw driver when my neighbour, Kamal, asked me to sit on his bike. I refused, which irritated him, and he started abusing me. Since I ignored him, he hit me with his helmet on my head. Later, his mother came out of their house and snatched my mobile phone and purse when I tried to call the cops. However, police reached soon and retrieved my purse,” she said.
SHO Dinkar Kumar of New Colony said, “The victim was rushed to a hospital and is out of danger. We arrested the accused on Friday.”
