Winter break for classes I to VII extended

Chandigarh: In view of the prevailing extreme weather conditions, the Punjab government on Friday further extended winter holidays for students of classes I to VII in all government, private and aided schools of the state till January 14.
Punjab school education minister Harjot Singh Bains in a tweet mentioned that students from classes VIII to XII and teachers of primary, middle as well as secondary classes would remain present in schools from January 9. But the timings of schools would be from 10 am to 3 pm. tnn
