Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said
Rajasthan was leading in the country in providing employment to youths in private and government sectors. He also added that the state government is providing more than 3 lakh government jobs.
“In the private sector as well, because of the state government’s policies, a favourable environment has been created for investments and employment opportunities are being created on a large scale,” said Gehlot, while addressing the youths at the mega job fair in
Udaipur on Thursday.
He said, as per the statistics of the government of India, Rajasthan was at the second place in the country with a GDP growth rate of 11.04%. Apart from interacting with the youths, the chief minister gave offer letters to many seeking employment. At the function, Gehlot inaugurated the Rajseel (Rajasthan Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Livelihoods), a single window registration system and job platform.
He also said micro, small and medium industries were also being encouraged in the state through the new MSME law. “Because of this, new entrepreneurs are getting interest-free loans. Also, there is no labour unrest in the state. Due to these facilities, Rajasthan has become the main attraction for the investors,” said Gehlot.
He said that MoUs worth Rs 11 lakh crore were signed in the recently-organised Invest Rajasthan Summit. “About 10 lakh jobs are likely to be generated from these,” he said.
In order to provide employment to youths, MoUs were signed between Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC) and Choice Finserv Pvt. Ltd, Aamdhane Pvt. Ltd, Quess Corp Ltd, Checkmate Services Pvt. Ltd, Desire Corporate Services Pvt. Ltd, Yes Bank, Lohagarh Resorts Pvt. Ltd. These companies will provide job opportunities to more than 25,000 youths in the coming years.
Minister of state (Mos) for skill, planning and entrepreneurship Ashok Chandna said employment opportunities were being provided to youths by organising job fairs in every district. “More than 10,000 youths have been shortlisted for jobs in the Udaipur Job Fair,” he said.
Later in the day the CM inaugurated two flyovers in Udaipur constructed at a cost of Rs. 19.55 and Rs. 19.86 respectively.
