Dispose of pending land cases, CM tells dy collectors
Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday directed deputy collectors to promptly dispose of pending forest rights claims, mundkar, tenancy and other land-related cases.
The chief minister interacted with the junior scale officers (deputy collectors) and directed them to ensure speedy resolution and hassle-free response in disposing of people’s pending matters.
“It’s our commitment to provide good governance to the people of Goa,” he said.
After a meeting with revenue officers and collectors, Sawant said that the government will focus on public-centric administration, use of technology to improve the working of the respective department and implementation of the right of citizens to time-bound delivery of Public Services Act in 2023.
Sawant also chaired a review meeting of the finance department and discussed various issues to be addressed and resolved and initiatives to be taken up under the finance department in 2023.
“Reviewed centrally-sponsored schemes and central sector schemes and directed officials to ensure that benefits from central schemes reach the people,” the chief minister said.
He also reviewed various projects under social welfare department, data analytics cell, initiatives for the utilisation of funds with Goa Mineral Funds and discussed plans to get grants from the central government.
