UGC NET 2022: The National Testing Agency, NTA has released an important notification regarding the age limit for the candidates applying for Junior Research Fellowship, JRF December 2022. Candidates who are going to appear for the UGC NET can check the new age criteria here or on the official website at
nta.ac.in.As per the notice, NTA received request from the National Eligibility Test bureau of UGC to fix the upper age limit for applying for JRF as 01.12.2022 instead of 01.02.2023. "Accordingly, the National Testing Agency has decided the last date for determining the upper age limit for applying JRF is 01.12.2022 for December 2022 UGC-NET," reads the NTA statement.
Age Criteria for JRF and NETJRF: Not more than 30 years as on 01.12.2022
A relaxation of up to 5 years will be provided to the candidates belonging to OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender categories and to women applicants.
Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying UGC-NET for the Assistant Professor.
NTA started the online registration for NET December 2022 session on December 29, 2022. The last date to submit the application form comes to an end on January 17, 2023. UGC NET exam will be conducted from February 21 to March 10, 2023. The admit card for the exam will be released in the second week of February 2023.
