Cops shoot murder accused in the leg

Kalaburagi: Kalaburagi city police have shot at the right leg of a man when he attacked them with lethal weapons when they went to arrest him in a murder case. Manjunath Swamy is the accused. A youth was murdered brutally — miscreants had bludgeoned his head with a stone — in broad daylight near his house at Bhavani Nagar here on Thursday. The deceased is Prashanth Kumbar. After his family members accused Manjunath of being responsible for the murder, police went to arrest him. He is being treated at GIMS here. tnn
