8-year-old raped by man in Mathura, held

AGRA: Mathura police on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old man hours after he allegedly raped an 8-year-old girl from his neighbourhood. According to the police, the accused, identified as Satish, barged into his neighbour's house in an inebriated state on Wednesday evening and committed the crime.
The girl is undergoing treatment at the district hospital. "A case has been registered against the accused under IPC section 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt), 376AB (punishment for rape on woman under twelve years of age) and 5M/6 Pocso at Jamunapar police station. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail. Strict action would be taken after a medical examination of the girl," SP city Martand Prakash Singh said.
