PATNA: Patliputra University (PPU) has extended its deadline for the registration of newly-admitted students to undergraduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG)- level courses in the current academic session (2022-2023). The university portal is open till January 6 for registration with late fine to facilitate all those students who have not been registered so far.
According to PPU’s dean of students’ welfare (DSW) Prof A K Nag, the university has asked newly-admitted UG students in arts, science and commerce streams to get themselves registered latest by January 6.
The PPU has fixed a fee of Rs 411, which includes Rs 311 as registration fee and Rs 100 as late fine, per student for those students who have passed from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). However, those who have passed from other boards will have to pay a fee of Rs 561 each - Rs 461 as registration fee and Rs 100 as late fine. He said the registration process is applicable to vocational course students studying in BCA, BBM, BSc (IT), biotechnology, Bachelor in Library Science and other courses.
Similarly, the newly-admitted students to PG courses are required to get themselves registered by January 6, failing which their admission may be deemed as cancelled. The PG students have been asked to apply for registration after making online payment of Rs 561 per student, which includes Rs 461as registration fee and Rs 100 as late fine, Prof Nag said, adding this is applicable to students of PG vocational courses like MBA, MCA and others.
Besides, the university has asked students to upload ‘migration certificates’ also along with registration for both UG and PG courses in case they have passed out from other universities, he said.
Meanwhile, the university has announced that the examination of bachelor in library science (BLis) will begin from January 16 at the allotted centres. The examination will conclude on January 21, said PPU examination controller, Prof Mahesh Mandal.
