Protesters dig up road outside min’s house

Hisar: Bhim Army activists, who have been on dharna for the last 13 days to press for refurbishing of the dilapidated Mill Gate road, on Tuesday demonstrated outside the residence of urban local bodies minister Dr Kamal Gupta and symbolically dug up a road to express their angst against the government. The residents of Mill Gate road have been protesting in various ways for the last one month for the construction of the road.
Police have registered a criminal case against unknown protesters and started inquest proceedings under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. Police said a case had been registered on the complaint of sub-divisional engineer, PWD (B&R), Dalbir Singh.
