Hubballi: Students need to develop more interest in science to become scientists, said deputy director of public instruction Shankmuk Swamy Kaladimath.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Avishkar 2023, a science model-making competition and exhibition for government school students and teachers organised by Aequs Foundation, Agastya Foundation in collaboration with the education department of Dharwad at Hubballi on Tuesday.
He said teachers should not only teach science but demonstrate experiments involved in it and motivate students to participate more in such programmes.
Agastya International Foundation has been working in Dharwad district for many years and in association with Aequs Foundation has organised several programmes in cooperation with the education department, he said.
Asgastya foundation manager Dr.Babhita, Aequs vice-president Praveenkumar Naik, ISKCON president Rajiv Lochana Dasa, surgeon Dr. Satish Irkal and others were present.
