Jaipur: Bharatpur police on Monday rescued two youths who were taken to
Vrindavan in
Uttar Pradesh and held captive by a woman and her accomplices. The woman had befriended the two men over phone and lured them for sex. Once the youths reached her Vrindavan apartment, they were kept hostage and a ransom demand of Rs 3 lakh was made to their family. Police raided the apartment, rescued the two youths and arrested four persons including the woman.
According to police, Shyamveer and his friend Dharam Veer had left from Chiksana area in Bharatpur. “He told his family members that he was going out for some important work. He reached at an apartment situated at Vrindvan in Uttar Pradesh at 4pm on January 1 where he met Kavita (33),” said a senior police officer on Tuesday.
Police said Shyamveer often spoke with Kavita over the phone. “It was found that Kavita had only invited him to Vrindavan. After Shyamveer and Dharamveer reached Vrindavan, three men who were known to Kavita also arrived at the apartment. Things went awry when one of the three friends of Kavita called up the family of Shyamveer saying he along with his friend Dharamveer had been kidnapped. The family members narrated their plight to us on Monday. A team was sent to Vrindavan after we got an input that the call was made from Vrindavan,” the officer added. After this phone call, police asked Sachin, son of Shyamveer, to engage the kidnappers. “Sachin assured the kidnappers that he was coming with Rs 3 lakh to a temple near Vrindavan. A team in plainclothes with Sachin also went and arrested two persons who came to collect the ransom. Thereafter, two others were arrested,” the officer said.
Police raided the apartment and arrested four persons including Kavita Meena, Dinesh Meena, Ramkesh Bairwa and Vijay Bairwa.
