CM launches 1-time registration system, new UPPSC website
Prayagraj: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated the One-Time Registration (OTR) system for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) applicants and the new website of the commission.
While virtually inaugurating the system, the chief minister said: “In the past over five years, under the guidance of the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government has provided government jobs to more than 5.5 lakh youths through a fair and transparent system. To accomplish the task, UPPSC has played a big role. The single opportunity registration OTR system will be of great convenience to the candidates.”
As per a senior official of the commission, now once a candidate registers through https://otr.pariksha.nic.in/ their details will remain in digital form and they won’t have to give their personal information again for different selection tests conducted by the commission. The applicant needs to upload their photo and signature only once. The facility to modify and update personal details and photo and signature will also be available 24x7. All the information entered in the OTR (personal details, photo and signature etc.) will be digitally verified by the issuing institutions. The commission was also instructed to spread awareness among candidates that OTR is not an application for any examination. Rather it is only a collection of applicants’ data through a separate dashboard for the convenience of the applicant to maintain their profile.
Besides, the commission has developed its new website after a gap of more than a decade. Efforts have been made to include all the updated information related to recruitment on the website, so that all aspirants can get information related to application, examination, result, interview, selection, cut off marks and commission on a single portal. Along with this, all the information related to the performance of the commission like requisition/advertisement/recruitment/promotion/disciplinary cases will also be available. Due to this, the work will be completed effectively by following punctuality with better coordination and efficiency in the government and the commission.
The commission was also directed that requisitions sent by various departments of the state government to it regarding vacancies should be linked to the online service. The process of appointments will be further simplified with e-procurement.
The official said: “OTR will save valuable time of the applicants and minimise the chances of errors while generating the registration number of the candidates which was different for different exams. Now, a single registration number will be generated and used for all exams that he or she wishes to apply for.”
