Tirupur: As many as 13,829 students have benefitted from the state government’s Naan Mudhalvan scheme so far in the district, said collector S Vineeth on Tuesday.
The scheme provides information on higher education programmes and consequent careers that Class IX to XII students can pursue. It also furnishes information on entrance examinations for colleges across the country, along with details about scholarships and education loans.
Vineeth said as many as 7,991 girls and 5,838 boys from various government and aided schools in the district have undergone a programme under the scheme to update themselves on education and career opportunities and make a decision accordingly.
