Uttarakhand: People forced to spend night outside in cold due to cracks in houses

Due to the big cracks that have emerged on the walls of their homes, several locals in the Marwadi ward were forced to spend the night outside in the cold on January 04 in Joshimath town of Uttarakhand. The huge cracks have appeared because of the leakage of water from inside the ground. “There are 584 houses in the town area, which have developed huge cracks affecting more than 3,000 people. Huge cracks have appeared in the houses due to leakage of water from inside the ground in Marwadi ward,” said Joshimath Municipal Corporation President Shailendra Pawar.
