Amid cold and fog, schools for classes 1 to 8 in Noida and Ghaziabad to shut till Jan 7

NOIDA-GHAZIABAD: Schools for classes 1-8 in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad are to be shut till January 7 due to the extreme cold wave and fog situation under the orders of the district magistrate and district inspector of schools.
According to the order, the state government directed the closure of all basic and secondary schools, madrasa education boards, Sanskrit schools and council schools as well as those affiliated with ICSE, CBSE and UP board.
While the order is implemented in GB Nagar and Ghaziabad from today, the timings for senior classes of 9 to 12 across all boards of the state have also been changed from 8.50am to 10am in the morning and from 12.50pm to 2pm in the afternoon.
