Delivery person steals goods worth Rs 3L from company office, held

Panaji: Panaji police have arrested a delivery person employed at the Mala office of a company for committing thefts of 30 shipments from the company store room.
The goods stolen were together worth Rs 3 Lakh and included mobile phones, smart watches and a trimmer, among other things.
On December 31, 2022, an authorised representative of the company Instakart Services, Francis Afonso, filed a police complaint stating that from September 2022 to December 2022, various items from the company store room at Neogi Nagar had been stolen.
He named delivery boy Utsab Jana, a native of West Bengal, in the FIR.
Police accordingly arrested Jana, who was residing at Vodlem Bhat, Taleigao.
Police team led by police inspector (PI) Nikhil Palekar recovered 12 mobiles of different brands, two smart watches, one trimmer and other valuables, including eatables, from the accused.
