MYSURU: A woman suffered severe burns while her husband, son and three neighbours were injured in a blast caused by the leakage in the LPG cylinder at thier residential quarter of the Fire and Emergency Service department in north Mysuru on early on Wednesday.
As per the Narasimharaja police, Geetha, wife of Mahadev, an employee of the department, is hospitalised with severe burns all over her body. The incident happened around 7.15am.
The homemaker, who was unaware of the gas leakage in the cylinder switched on the light bulb after she woke up in the morning causing a huge explosion.
The locked main door of their house burst open due to the impact causing injuries to three other neighbours standing outside.
All the injured people are being treated at St Joseph Hospital and the condition of the homemaker is stated to be critical.
