'We have adequate force to remove illegal occupants': Haldwani DM

The unauthorized Gafoor Basti, spread over 29 acres of railway land in Haldwani, will soon be demolished as per the direction of the Uttarakhand high court. The court last month ordered removal of all 4,365 illegal encroachers from railway land. “As per the orders of the high court, vacating railway land is necessary. We have deployed adequate force to take care of law and order issues arising out of the eviction process,” Dheeraj Kumar Garbyal says.
