Anil, Rebi to lead UP team in Athletics Championship

Kanpur: Anil Yadav from Ballia and Rebi Pal of Varanasi will lead UP team in 57th National Cross Country Athletics Championship slated to be held at Sualkuchi Bali Sor Sualkuchi Kamrup (Assam) on January 8, 2023.
According to Hridaynand, chairman selection committee, athletes have been selected on the basis of their performance during the state Athletics Championship and in departmental teams. Announcing the names of team members, PK Srivastava hony secretary stated Bimal Rai (UPSC) of Luckow and Ajay Kumar (UPP) will be coach of the teams. Sahibe Alam (Bareilly) and Vineeta (Jaunpur) will be chief manager and manager, respectively. Members of the team are required to contact Bimal Rai for their travel and participation in the national meet.

Men (U-20 8 km Cross Country Race): Pankaj Kumar & Ashish Pal (Chandauli), Divyanshu Kumar & Manish Rajput (Agra), Islam Ali (Lucknow), Ritik Verma (Bulanshahr)
Men (U-18 years 6 km Cross country Race): Amardeep Pal (Amethi) and Ashutosh Singh (Mainpuri)
Boys (U-16 years 2 km Cross country Race): Anil Kumar (Hathras) and Rinku Singh (Agra).
Women (10 km Cross Country Race): Rebi Pal & Monika Chaudhary (Varanasi), Dimple Singh and Nandini Gupta (Lucknow), Mamta Rajbhar (Chandauli), Kajal Chakraborty (Bareilly)
Women (U-20 6 km Cross Country Race): Mamta Pal, Beby, Priya Patel (Chandauli), Ranjana Rajput, Pooja Verma (Gorakhpur), Neeta Rani (Bulandshahr).
