Vashishat is new chief engg of PSPCL central zone
Ludhiana: Engineer SR Vashishat on Monday took charge as the new chief engineer of central zone, Ludhiana, of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). Vashishat had last served as superintending engineer (SE) in Ludhiana and he has taken charge from Parvinder Singh Khamba.After taking charge, Vashishat conducted a meeting with SEs, XENs and other staff of the central zone, Ludhiana, and sought their support in achieving the target set by Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann and Punjab power minister Harbhajan Singh ETO.
Speaking on the occasion, the new chief engineer said, “I will live up to the expectations of chairman-cum -managing director of PSPCL Baldev Singh Sran and director distribution DPS Grewal. We will ensure uninterrupted power supply to the consumers and speedy resolution of all their problems”
Vashishat appealed to residents to help PSPCL in putting an end to the menace of power theft and said he would take strict action against those found misusing electricity or stealing power. He directed his subordinates to keep raiding the areas where there were more complaints of power thefts.
Born on June 03, 1968, Vashishat did B.Tech from Gulabarga University, Karnataka. He has rich experience of over 31 years as he joined Punjab State Electricity Board on September 17, 1991. In December 2006 he was promoted as senior XEN and then SE in June 2019. Vashishat also has experience in distribution, grid construction, enforcement, grid maintenance, and APDRP construction. tnn
