Country-made pistol seized, 2 held

Vadodara: Two persons have been arrested by the police under the Arms Act in the city. The police said that they had received information that a person was trying to sell a pistol in Karelibaug. A team of cops apprehended him and found a country-made pistol in his possession.
Vithhal Parmar, a resident of Gotri area, was arrested from the spot. Parmar told that he had got the pistol from another man, Praveen Parmar, some years ago. Vithhal took the police team to the house of Praveen who too was arrested later.
“We are trying to ascertain how Praveen got the pistol and whether it was bought only for sale or for some other purpose,” the police said.
