BHUBANESWAR: Close on the heels of the mysterious death of Vladimir Putin-critic Pavel Antov and his friend Vladimir Bydanov at a Rayagada hotel in Odisha a fortnight ago, another Russian national was found dead onboard a cargo ship at Paradip port in Jagatsinghpur district on Tuesday.
Police identified the deceased as Sergy Milyakov (51). Police suspected he died of a heart attack.

“We have come to know that he was one of the crew members of the cargo ship. The cause of his death would be known only after the postmortem. As per our preliminary investigation, he suddenly collapsed onboard the ship. He might have died of heart attack,” SP, Jagatsinghpur, Akhilesvhar Singh told TOI.

Singh said police would videograph Milyakov’s post-mortem, and preserve his visceral samples as well as his body. It must be noted that the Odisha police drew flak for not preserving Pavel’s viscera or videographing his autopsy. Russian lawmaker Antov Pavel and his co-traveller Bydanov Vladimir were found dead in a hotel at Rayagada on December 22 and 24 respectively.
