Trailer overturns, man dies

Jaisalmer: A man was killed after being trapped under a trailer that overturned at Chauhatan Circle in Barmer city on Monday evening. A bigger accident was averted as the busy site remains crowded always. Police said the trailer carrying solar plates was coming from Gujarat and going towards Jaisalmer. It overturned as a three-wheeler suddenly came in front of it, said a police official. “A traffic police team reached the spot and took the youth, aged about 22, out with great difficulty. We rushed him to the district hospital. The accident caused a traffic jam, which we cleared in an hour. Efforts are on to identify the body,” he added. Dr Manju of the hospital said the youth was brought dead to the hospital. tnn
