Euro India Fresh Foods(up 5.03%), Heritage Foods(up 3.57%), Future Consumer(up 3.23%), Vadilal Industries(up 0.90%), Marico(up 0.86%), Nestle India(up 0.85%), Umang Dairies(up 0.81%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.64%), Bajaj Consumer(up 0.47%) and DFM Foods(up 0.26%) stood among the top gainers.
Dangee Dums(down 2.87%), P & G Hygiene(down 2.38%), Varun Beverages(down 1.98%), Nakoda Group(down 1.58%), Britannia Industries(down 1.17%), Zydus Wellness(down 1.04%), ADF Foods(down 0.99%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 0.89%), Prataap Snacks(down 0.89%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.64%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 35.1 points up at 18232.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 126.41 points at 61294.2.
HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 4.44%), SBI Life(up 2.29%), Axis Bank(up 2.2%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.86%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.53%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.42%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.21%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.19%), Wipro(up 1.02%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.9%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 1.47%), Britannia Industries(down 1.17%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.07%), JSW Steel(down 0.95%), Grasim Industries(down 0.82%), Reliance Industries(down 0.73%), Tata Steel(down 0.67%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.64%), Asian Paints(down 0.62%) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.6%) closed in the red.
