Businessman's suicide in Bengaluru: FIR filed against BJP MLA Aravind Limbavali, 5 others

BENGALURU: Police have registered an FIR against BJP's Mahadevapura MLA Aravind Limbavali and five others for allegedly abetting the suicide of businessman Pradeep S.
Pradeep, a resident of Ambalipura, off Haraluru Road near Whitefield, allegedly shot himself in the head inside his car at Nettigere village, near Kaggalipura, on Sunday evening. He used his licensed .32 caliber pistol to take the extreme step.
He left behind an eight-page suicide note in English holding six persons, including BJP's Mahadevapura MLA Aravind Limbavali, responsible for him taking the extreme step. Police named all six persons mentioned in the suicide note as accused persons.
Gopi K, Somaiah, G Ramesh Reddy, Dr Jayaram Reddy and Raghava Bhat are the other five suspects. Kaggalipura police registered an FIR based on a complaint filed by Pradeep's wife V Namitha.
Ramanagara superintendent of police K Santosh Babu has appointed deputy SP BS Mohan Kumar as the investigating officer.
Businessman suicide: Cops collecting call records
Police are collecting Pradeep's transaction details and call detail records as part of investigations. Police handed over Pradeep's body to his family members after conducting a postmortem on Monday.
Pradeep alleged in the suicide note that he had invested Rs 1.5 crore in Opus Club on Sarjapur Road in 2018. He was promised Rs 3 lakh as profit and Rs 1.5 lakh salary every month. He claimed nothing was given to him for long.
