House owner held in ‘thief’ lynching case
Bokaro: Biralal Tuddu, the owner of the house where a 42-year-old man allegedly barged in to steal a goat and was beaten to death by villagers on Saturday night, was arrested on Monday. The incident occurred in Sadi Gavaro village under the Muffasil police station in Giridih district. Police had said the deceased, Vinod Chaudhary, was accused of over half-a-dozen thefts.
DSP (headquarters) Sanjay Rana said, “Acting on the complaint from the kin of the deceased, police have initially arrested Tuddu and forwarded him to judicial custody. Two FIRs have been lodged in this connection with the Muffasil police station. In the first FIR, murder charges were pressed against Birlal Tuddu and other unknown persons based on the complaint of the wife of the deceased.
