BSF foils infiltration bid, shot dead Pak intruder in Punjab
Initial investigations suggest that a group of intruders were trying to infiltrate into Punjab but were spotted by the BSF
GURDASPUR: Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an intrusion bid in Punjab after troops of the border guarding force shot dead an armed Pakistani intruder at the Indo-Pak international border early Tuesday morning in Punjab. The incident happened at around 8am.
BSF inspector general, Punjab Frontier, Asif Jalal informed that troops of 73 Battalion of BSF spotted some suspicious movement in the area of BSF’s Channa Border outpost on Tuesday morning following which they swung into action and opened fire in which a Pak intruder was shot dead.
Sources informed that the initial investigations suggest that a group of intruders were trying to infiltrate into Punjab but were spotted by the BSF. More details are awaited.
