Panaji: The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Goa, has received eight national awards for its active participation in national-level activities and conducting activities at local branches.
IMA Goa’s secretary Dr Amol Tilve represented the state at the IMA’s national conference, NATCON 2022, held from December 26-28 at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He also attended the meeting of the central council.
Tilve received the President’s Appreciation Award for Best Adjudged Secretary of State, Dr Lloyd Desouza, secretary of IMA Bardez and Dr Anand Dalvi, secretary of IMA Tiswadi, received the President’s Appreciation Award for Best Adjudged Secretary of a Local Branch. Dr Vishwaraj Mhalshekar received the President’s Award for Best Young Doctor.
IMA Bardez was honoured with the IMA Membership Development Award for a Local Branch for maximum new enrolment and IMA Tiswadi was honoured with President’s Appreciation Award for Best Doctors Day Celebration.
The Women Doctors Wing of IMA Goa was honoured with two President’s Appreciation Awards to Dr Purnima Usgaonkar and Dr Shraddha Mulgaonkar Patil.
“It was a great honour to IMA Goa under state president Dr Rufino Monteiro to have been appreciated at the national level for all the efforts put up during this year 2022,” Dr Tilve said.
