DUMKA: The severed head of a woman was recovered from a pond near Borio Bazar locality in Jharkhand's Sahebganj district on Saturday. Police suspect the remains belong to Rebika Pahadin, who was allegedly chopped into pieces by her husband Dildar Ansari and in-laws about a fortnight ago, reports Rajesh Kumar Pandey.
The news of Rebika's murder came to light on December 17, following which cops swung into action.
They managed to recover 28 pieces of her dismembered body that were found scattered at different locations in Borio Momin Tola village, with stray dogs feeding on them. Borio PS in-charge Jagannath Pan said: "The pond, from where the human skull was recovered with an earring stuck to it, is close to the place from where Rebika's dismembered body parts were recovered earlier."
