Jharkhand: Youth fest to be organised from January 5-12
RANCHI: The ministry of youth affairs and sports department, under the joint collaboration of Nehru Yuwa Kendra Sangathan and National Service Scheme, will host a youth festival from January 5-12. The competition will begin at the intercollegiate level, followed by the university level, and finally the state level.
The fest will be organised to commemorate National Youth Day on January 12 and to honour the winners of different events like painting competition, essay competition, speech competition and lecture series and other sports quiz competition and other programs.
Sarojini Lakra, director sports, said, “Swami Vivekananda is the ideal of the modern man. He is the best leader, especially for Indian youth. This festival will instil in the youth an appreciation for tradition and maintain their motivation. The dissemination of knowledge, inspiration, and brilliance emanating from Swami Vivekananda will benefit the youth of India. This youth festival will provide an opportunity for young people to demonstrate their talents and compete for a cash prize that will be awarded on the occasion of Swamiji’s birthday.”
Sports quiz competition will be organized across all the districts of the state, in which the youth between the age group of 15-29 years can participate.
