NOIDA: The air quality of Noida and Ghaziabad was in ‘poor’ category on Saturday, with Noida recording it at 277, Greater Noida at 300 and Ghaziabad AQI 268, according to CPCB’s Sameer app.
The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) said on Saturday Delhi-NCR’s overall AQI indicated ‘very poor’ air quality. “Air quality is likely to deteriorate but will remain within ‘very poor’ zone for the next three days due to low temperature and low surface winds. Morning fog continues to persist due to cold and dry wind flow from the northwest region,” it said.
On Saturday, Noida recorded 10.3 degrees and 19.3 degrees minimum and maximum temperatures while Ghaziabad recorded 11 degrees and 18.4 degrees, respectively. India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast shows dense to very dense fog in some parts of the area in the next five days.
