    Canada to require COVID tests for passengers from China

    Canada plans to temporarily require people flying from China, Hong Kong and Macao to test negative for COVID-19 before leaving for Canada. The requirement will apply to all air travellers aged two and older from the three countries and will begin on Jan. 5, the federal government said in a news release Saturday.

    Mainland China reports one COVID death for Dec 31, reports Reuters
