Alok Raj new vigilance DG as Bihar govt shuffles 17 IAS & 42 IPS officers

PATNA: The state government on Saturday made a massive reshuffle of 17 senior IAS and 42 IPS officers.
Among the IPS officers, AIG Sudhanshu Kumar, who was waiting for posting, has been made AIG transport, while IG prohibition, Amrit Raj, has been made ADG in the same department. Magadh range IG M R Nayak has been made ADG, Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP), while special secretary home (special) K S Anupam has been made secretary.
DGP (training) Alok Raj has been made DGP of state vigilance investigation bureau and Prita Verma, who is in the rank of DGP and was waiting for posting, has been made DGP (training). Patna SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon has been promoted to the rank of DIG, but would continue to function in the present capacity till further order.
The government has promoted about 12 AIG officers to the rank of IG, besides reshuffling the IGs and DIGs of six ranges and transferring SSPs or SPs of 18 districts, including Saran, Gaya, Arwal, Aurangabad, East Champaran, Begusarai, Nawada, Gopalganj, Rohtas, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Bhojpur, Buxar and Kaimur.

Ashish Bharti will go to Gaya, Rakesh Kumar to Muzaffarpur, Anand Kumar to Bhagalpur, Gaurav Mangla to Saran, Vinay Tiwary to Samastipur, Swarn Prabhat to Gopalganj, Vinit Kumar to Rohtas, Ambrish Rahul to Nawada, Pramod Kumar Yadav to Bhojpur, Md Kasim to Arwal, Manish Kumar to Buxar and Lalit Mohan Sharma to Kaimur as head of the district police. Saran was in the news due to recent hooch tragedy.
Development commissioner Vivek Kumar Singh has been given the additional charge of the chairman cum member of the revenue board, replacing Vandana Kini, who has been made advisor of the state planning board. Education department secretary A C Aao was relieved for central deputation.
Energy department principal secretary Sanjeev Hans has been made principal secretary of the public health and engineering department whose secretary Jitendra Srivastava has been made secretary of the home department. Tourism department secretary Abhay Kumar Singh has been shifted to COMPFED as its managing director. Minor irrigation special secretary Gopal Meena has been made Tirhut division commissioner.
Director, land records and measurement, Jai Singh has been made revenue and land reforms department secretary, while director, secondary education, Manoj Kumar has been posted as commissioner of Purnia division and Kumar Agle would be Kosi division commissioner. Health department special secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh has been promoted to the rank of secretary with additional charge of the CEO of state health society.
Director, students and youth welfare, Vinod Singh Gunjial has been made minor irrigation secretary, while general administration department special secretary Mohammad Sohail has been promoted to the rank of secretary.
Director, cooperative societies, Vaidyanath Yadav has been made education department secretary with additional charge of BEP Council and Bihar infrastructure development training. Bihar medical services and infrastructure development corporation managing director Dinesh Kumar has been promoted to the rank of secretary.
