Jaipur: The director general of police (DGP), Rajasthan, Umesh Mishra, has formulated the priorities of the
Rajasthan police for 2023. He has urged the IGs and SPs to come up with result oriented strategies for organised crime and criminals. He has also urged them to focus on the safety and security of women in the state.
Mishra has issued priorities of the police and has asked his men to focus on these priorities divided into two categories. He has asked the IGs of various police ranges in the state and district SPs to ensure time-bound disposal of crime against women, children and weaker sections. “He has also emphasised on searching missing children and also of the organised gangs active in the state,” said a senior officer of Rajasthan police headquarters on Friday.
The priorities of Rajasthan Police for the year 2023 included - effective action and control against history-sheeters, hardcore and habitual criminals and organized gangs by strengthening criminal intelligence, strict preventive and punitive action against smuggling of drugs and illegal weapons, timely redressal of crimes against women, children and weaker sections and planned efforts for recovery of missing children, effective control and legal action against criminals who are into grabbing land illegally and also into economic offences,prevention and control of cyber crimes and making
common people aware of changing modus operandi of cyber criminals and better management of traffic and reduction in the number of dead/injured in road accidents.
Apart from this, Mishra has also set up the administrative priorities for the police force.
