Compensation for tur farmers

Kalaburagi: The state government will compensate those farmers who lost their tur crop due to necrosis disease, said industrial and district in-charge minister Murugesh Nirani.
On Saturday, he told media persons in Kalaburagi that the Belagavi session recently discussed tur crop. Soon, guidelines will be formed and compensation will be given to all farmers who have lost their tur crop. The government was still unsure whether to announce a weather package or compensation per acre. So another round of meetings will be held where it will be decided.
A huge amount of tur crop has been lost in Kalaburagi and other parts of the state, officials have informed the government. However, another report is to be submitted by the officers. tnn
