Troops interact with Merces, Curca locals in Goa

PANAJI: Army troops from 2 Signal Training Centre interacted with locals in Merces and Curca as a prelude to Army Day that is celebrated on January 15.
The day-long outreach campaign saw the troops conduct a medical camp and an awareness session on the Centre's Agniveer scheme for the locals. They were also engaged in Swachta Abhiyan (cleanliness drive), organised a volleyball match with the locals and felicitation of Veer Naris (courageous women).
Locals from the two villages participated in a large number in the campaign and the youth displayed their enthusiasm to join the Army.
