‘Keshari’s health improving’
Prayagraj: The health of former West Bengal governor and senior leader of BJP Keshari Nath Tripathi, who was admitted to a private hospital on Friday, has improved in the last 24 hours. The former speaker of the UP legislative assembly was admitted to hospital after complaining of difficulty in breathing, generalised weakness, decreased oral intake and low urine output. “The 90-year-old leader is in ICU and is showing trend of recovery,” said Dr Santosh Singh citing the medical bulletin released by the hospital on Saturday evening. According to Tripathi’s son, Neeraj: “My father had a fall on December 8 and fractured his hand. For the past couple of days, his oral intake had reduced, and his health started deteriorating from Friday. The family doctor was called at home but when his condition failed to get better and he complained of breathing trouble, we admitted him to the hospital. Here he is kept on oxygen support.” Earlier, Tripathi had suffered corona twice. He also had a long treatment at SGPGI, Lucknow. After this, he had recovered and participated in many events in the city. tnn
