According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the ideal maximum temperature in Hyderabad is 28.4 degree Celsius. However, since the beginning of this week, the maximum temperatures have fluctuated and climbed three to four notches above the season's average.
The temperatures have been high this December owing to the south-easterly winds blowing over the state, said the IMD adding that it is unlikely that cold winds from northern parts will cool off the state's soaring temperatures.
Meanwhile, other parts of the state are also bearing the brunt of hot weather, with Bhadrachalam recording the highest temperature on December 27, at 35 degree Celsius, followed by Khammam at 34 degree Celsius.
Weatherman predict that the situation will remain the same until January 4, after which the state might see drop in temperatures.
