Renovation of blast victim’s house begins in Mangaluru
MANGALURU: Gurubeladingalu Foundation led by R Padmaraj, who is also the treasurer of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, began the renovation of the house belonging to autorickshaw driver Purushotham Poojary on Friday.
Poojary,59, is being treated at a private hospital for burns sustained, after a cooker blast occurred in his moving autorickshaw on November 19.
Padmaraj said, “The works are taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 4 lakh, and is expected to be completed by the end of February. The autorickshaw driver has been working hard all his life, and this unfortunate incident has left him worried about the future, for his family, including his wife and two daughters. He is still undergoing treatment, and is expected to be discharged from hospital in another 15 days,” he said.
