NEW DELHI:
The CBSE Class 10 exams will be held from February 15 to March 21, and the Class 12 exams from February 15 to April 5. Practicals, projects and internal assessment will be conducted by schools from January 1 to February 14. For Class 12, the data sheet has been prepared to ensure that exams do not clash with competitive tests like the JEE Mains. All exams will begin at 10.30am; students will get 15 minutes extra time to read the question papers.
Issuing the datasheet, CBSE examination controller, Sanyam Bhardwaj, said, "While preparing the datesheet, the Board has taken care to give sufficient gap between two subjects. Competitive examinations, including JEE Main, have been taken care of while preparing the datesheet for Class XII."
The examinations will start at 10.30am.
For both classes, exams will begin on February 15. These are mostly minor subject exams. The first major subject exam for class X is English, scheduled on February 27, 2023. For class XII, the first major subject examination is on February 24 - English language and elective.
The class X exams end on March 21, while the class XII exams end on April 5, with psychology as the last exam.
Teachers said it is a well-balanced datesheet, with sufficient gaps between the major exams. Some said it is for the first time that chemistry exams have been scheduled in February itself.
