The NSE Nifty index closed 85.7 points down at 18105.3, while BSE Sensex ended down 293.14 points at 60840.74.
On the other hand, .(down 2.17 per cent), .(down 1.89 per cent), .(down 1.78 per cent), .(down 1.67 per cent) and .(down 1.63 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
