NAGPUR:
Shiv Sena (UBT) party president Uddhav Thackeray and MP Sanjay Raut on Thursday hit out at chief minister Eknath Shinde over his visit to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters at Reshimbagh on Thursday. Raut said that the silkworm of Sangh thoughts was wriggling in Shinde’s mind and ears from the very beginning.
Referring to the CM’s RSS tilt, Raut said Shinde had earlier carried out a ‘defection’, but nobody thought that he would undergo ‘blood transfusion’ so soon.
Former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, jokingly, asked RSS chief to look out for signs of witchcraft. “He (Shinde) must have left the RSS office today. But Mohan Bhagwat should check every corner of the office. See, if some lemons have been thrown around. He (CM Shinde) has a keen eye. We have had a bad experience with him. So, RSS also needs to be careful. Wherever they go, they try to take over the place. Yesterday they tried to take over our office in BMC. Today he (CM Shinde) went to the RSS office. RSS is strong, still they need to be careful,” Uddhav said.
Raut said that there was nothing wrong with Shinde’s visit, as RSS is an organization of Hindutva ideas. Even if the CM comes to the Vidhan Bhavan wearing khaki pants tomorrow, we will welcome him, Raut said.
Raut also warned the Shinde faction over the closure of the Shiv Sena’s (UBT) office at the BMC headquarters in Mumbai. “If the chief minister’s office is behind this, then he should tread cautiously. You never know when BJP people will enter your chief minister’s office. Shinde faction leader Naresh Mhaske used to bring complaints against Eknath Shinde to Matoshree. He used to say that Shinde must be controlled. Shinde’s corruption complaints used to come from Mhaske,” Raut said.
Raut also hit out at Shinde through a tweet. “Happy that you visited Reshimbagh! Millions of volunteers have been loyal to this institution for years. They have never made a despicable attempt to usurp the Sangh or its headquarters. Would have been happier, if you had learned loyalty towards an institution from RSS. Jai
Maharashtra!” Raut tweeted.
CM Shinde on his part said that there was no political motive in his visit. “It is a place of inspiration. I used to visit Sangh shakha in my childhood. I felt satisfied when I came to Reshimbagh. There is no political motive behind tis. Shiv Sena and BJP are together,” CM Shinde said.
