State SC panel not given constitutional tag since I backed Pilot: Bairwa

Jaipur: Rajasthan State Commission for Scheduled Castes’ chairman Khiladi Lal Bairwa on Thursday accused chief minister Ashok Gehlot of not clearing the file to grant constitutional status to the commission after he backed Sachin Pilot to take over as the chief minister.
“In Rajasthan, 20% of the population is from the SC community. When I took charge, I requested Gehlot to grant constitutional status to the commission like Punjab and Kerala. During the Rajya Sabha election, I was assured that our demand would be fulfilled. My only fault was that one day, while interacting with the media, I said Pilot is also a capable person and it’s not wrong to bring him to the political mainstream in future. Maybe because of the comment, the file is still pending at the CM’s desk.”
