‘Safe city’ drive for hockey WC
Bhubaneswar: The commissionerate police on Thursday launched a special drive under the banner of safe city in the run-up to the Men’s Hockey World Cup.
All zonal assistant commissioners of police and inspectors-in-charge of police stations have been asked to start a sustained crackdown against anti-socials. “We will conduct regular hotel checks to restrict intruders,” deputy commissioner of police Prateek Singh said.
Police stations have been asked to remain vigilant on movement of suspicious vehicles and intensify patrolling in bus stands and railway station.tnn
