NEW DELHI: Delhi Police is looking for a woman who allegedly drugs and robs middle-aged men after taking them to Lodhi Garden and other parks in Lutyens’ Delhi.
The manhunt has been initiated after she targeted a retired income tax official a few days ago, sources said.
The victim, aged 60, remained unconscious for over 24 hours and was admitted to Max hospital in Saket. The family is in shock with the incident and said it would take months for the elderly man to recover fully from the trauma.
The victim had gone to a bank with his wife to withdraw money and later went to his office at ITO to sort pending work. Then he came to the bus stand and allegedly spotted a woman sitting alone. The woman stopped an auto and asked the victim if he wanted to share a ride.
The woman led the man into Lodhi Garden while offered chips. The man fell unconscious soon and woke up in the hospital. All his belongings, including his diamond ring, debit card, Rs 15,000 cash and mobile phone were allegedly gone.
“We have some leads. The culprit will be caught soon,” a senior officer said.
