The NSE Nifty index closed 68.5 points up at 18191.0, while BSE Sensex ended up 223.6 points at 61133.88.
On the other hand, .(down 1.40 per cent), .(down 1.38 per cent), .(down 1.04 per cent), .(down 1.02 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
