Dalit leader seeks probe into funds use

Hubballi: The PWD department has done injustice to Dalit colony people by using the SCSP/TSP funds for various construction work, alleged Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti district convenor Vijay Guntral.
On Wednesday, Guntral demanded an investigation in this regard under the supervision of a retired judge. “The government has released reserve grants for the development of areas inhabited by people belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes in all the constituencies. But bills were passed in 2021-22 showing that the work was done in 2020-21 in most parts of the places. The work was of poor quality and tenders were given to contractors who submitted a high amount,” he said.
