5 burglars held, items seized

Rajkot: Morbi police arrested five persons for committing burglary in Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited’s storeroom sometime between November 23 and December 13.
The burglars had entered by cutting window grills of the storeroom and stole seven submersible pump motor sets, 11 water motors and various sizes of 10,133 metre cables altogether valued at Rs 23.24 lakh.
Cops also seized total goods worth Rs 43.78 lakh including the stolen equipment and the cash they earned from selling off some of the stolen equipment. After they recce isolated premises in GIDC areas, the gang targeted godowns and factories and entered by cutting the window grills. tnn
