PM Modi's mother Heeraben admitted to Ahmedabad hospital

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Heeraben, was on Wednesday admitted to a hospital after her health deteriorated.
PM Modi's 100-year-old mother is admitted at UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre in Ahemdabad.
"Heeraben's health condition is stable," the hospital said in a bulletin.

Security around the hospital has been beefed up amid reports that PM Modi will be reaching there to meet his ailing mother.
The Prime Minister last visited his mother in Gandhinagar during the campaigning for the Gujarat assembly elections, held in two phases on December 1 and 5.
On Tuesday, PM Modi's brother Prahlad Modi sustained injuries when the car in which he was travelling met with an accident near Mysore.
